Trigger finger causes pain, stiffness, and locking in your fingers or thumb. At Twin Palm Orthopedics in Ocala, Florida, Dr. Derek Farr, DO, and Dr. Nirav Gupta, DO, perform quick and effective in-office trigger finger release — helping restore smooth finger movement without the need for a hospital visit.
What Is Trigger Finger?
Trigger finger happens when the tendon in a finger becomes inflamed or thickened and can no longer glide smoothly through the tendon sheath. This can cause the finger to lock, click, or remain stuck in a bent position.
What Does the Procedure Involve?
The release procedure is performed in-office using local anesthesia. A small incision is made in the palm to open the tendon sheath and free the tendon, restoring full finger motion.
What Are the Advantages?
- Fast, in-office treatment
- Minimal recovery time
- No general anesthesia
- Relief from clicking, locking, and pain
Who Should Consider Trigger Finger Release?
If you have persistent finger locking, discomfort, or limited motion that hasn’t improved with rest or injections, our team can evaluate your condition and recommend the appropriate treatment.
