Derek Farr, DO, FAAOS

Derek Farr, DO, FAAOS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who practices at Twin Palm Orthopedics. He has been practicing in Ocala, Florida, since 2008. Prior to that, Dr. Farr was living in Boca Raton, Florida.

Dr. Farr attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. He then completed the prestigious orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the Miami Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute under the direction of world-renowned surgeon Harlan Selesnick, MD. During his 2006 fellowship year, Dr. Farr was assistant team physician with the NBA world champion Miami Heat.

In addition to sports medicine and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Farr prides himself in providing the most advanced techniques for a variety of orthopedic injuries. His surgical practice also includes total joint replacements of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He was one of the first surgeons to bring the technique of reverse total shoulder replacement to Marion County and was the first surgeon in Marion County to perform Makoplasty robotic-assisted surgery. Dr. Farr has the most experience with robotic surgery utilizing the Mako robot. In 2020, He performed more robotic surgeries in one day than anywhere else in the world. He has been recognized internationally for this achievement. He is proud to provide this cutting-edge technology for his patients in central Florida and beyond.

Dr. Farr also feels it is very important to give back to the profession he loves and is an active part of the orthopedic teaching faculty at Ocala Regional Medical Center, where he trains orthopedic residents. When away from the office, Dr. Farr enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and fishing the Gulf Coast waters.

Nirav Gupta, DO, FAAOS

Nirav Gupta, DO, FAAOS is a board certified, fellowship trained surgeon in private practice at Twin Palm Orthopedics. He came to Ocala in 2006 to establish his practice after completion of his orthopedic training and has been proud to call Ocala home ever since. Dr. Gupta was born in Providence, RI, but later spent a majority of his childhood in Southern Illinois. He completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL, and then went on to finish his medical school training at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Glendale Arizona.

Afterwards Dr. Gupta pursued his ambition of becoming an orthopedic surgeon by completing his residency training at Michigan State University, Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, in Pontiac, MI. Dr. Gupta furthered his orthopedic training with an Upper Extremity fellowship at University of South Florida, Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL.

While Dr. Gupta treats musculoskeletal conditions of all types, his practice mainly focuses on fracture repair and upper extremity conditions. He takes pride in staying current with the latest in operative and non-operative orthopedic treatments available for his patients. Additionally, throughout the year, Dr. Gupta devotes his time to teaching the most current orthopedic treatments to other surgeons at various training facilities located throughout the United States. He also enjoys teaching locally and is part of the core teaching faculty at the University of Central Florida/ Ocala Health Orthopedic Residency Program.

Outside of his focus on patient care, Dr. Gupta enjoys travel, time with family, weightlifting, cooking, and outdoor activities such as running and cycling. He is proud to call Ocala home, and enjoys the outstanding people of our community, quality pace of life, and outdoor environment that our locality offers.

Quint Klingbeil, PA-C

Quint Klingbeil is a nationally certified PA-C with over 15 years of experience in general orthopedics. His professional interests include total joint reconstruction and sports medicine.

He has worked clinically in various hospitals throughout south and central Florida with exposure to the latest advancements in surgical techniques related to orthopedic surgery including the emerging field of robotics. In doing so, he has acquired an extensive skill set both surgically and clinically. Currently, Quint has been a part of the Twin Palm Orthopedics family since 2013.

Quint completed his undergraduate degree obtaining a Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami. He then went on to obtain his Master Degree in Clinical Medical Sciences from Barry University. He has also been a Fellow member of both the American Academy of PAs and PAs in Orthopedic Surgery since 2006.

Quint is a Florida native spending most of his life living along the coastal regions of the state until moving to Ocala in 2013. He enjoys playing guitar, attending concerts, and most importantly fishing. He is an avid salt water fly fisherman who enjoys the sundrenched waters of the Florida coast and abroad in pursuit of multiple species and IGFA World Records.

Martha Carasco, PTA

Martha was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from University of Georgia with a BA in Economics. She and her husband make their home in Ocala and enjoy cycling, hiking, boating and paddle boarding on our beautiful lakes and rivers in their free time. After raising three children (now grown), Martha returned to school to pursue a career in physical therapy and received an AS degree from College of Central Florida for Physical Therapist Assistant. She has thrived working as a PTA in orthopedics and enjoys working closely with Dr. Farr and Dr. Gupta and their patients.
